Sabalan Mountain Climbing Tour
High up north in Iran, in the Ardabil Province, stands one of Persia’s tallest mountains, Sabalan. About a two hour drive out of Meshgin Shahr, lies an inactive volcano that is about five million years old. This volcano houses an extremely beautiful natural lake right on its peak.
On this tour you will climb the Sabalan mountain and take in all of its majestic beauty. You will also take a natural hot spring bath, swim in the natural hot springs, visit the lengthy suspension bridge of Meshgin Shahr and maybe even see the nomads live their amazing authentic lives.
We will leave Tabriz at 8 am. and head to Meshgin Shahr. First we’ll visit the suspension bridge of Meshgin Shahr, the longest suspension bridge in the middle east. This bridge is stretched over a splendid deep valley and holds a different view every season.
We will then head over to Shabil hot spring where our hike up the great mountain of Sabalan starts. The hike will take a day or two considering how far you’d like to go on foot and how far you’d rather go by car. After the hike, down the mountain at the Shabil hot springs again, you can enjoy a hot natural bath. We will then head back to Tabriz and the tour will end.
