Kashan Roof Top Walking Tour
Due to safety reasons and avoiding any harm to Kashan’s historical neighborhoods this tour will be executed on top of Kashan’s historic walls located on the edge of the town instead of its rooftops.
Spending a day in Kashan will take us to the mysterious tales of the Middle East.
Walking on top of its rooftops takes us to the stories of Hezaro Yek Shab (One Thousand and One Nights). We will find ourselves as Ali Baba running from forty wicked thieves of Baghdad or Aladdin testing our magical lamp for the first time and getting shocked by the genie. If you are a fan of more modern stories, its small mud-brick domes could be a reminder of the Tatooine city in Star Wars.
Kashan is an extraordinary desert city full of historical surprises. Walking on the top of rooftops of Kashan provides us with a different aspect of the city. We will enjoy an amazing view of Badgirs (windcatchers) and historical houses especially the Borujerdiha house which is a shining gem among Kashan’s structures. The amazing skyline created by the buildings and a starry sky is something you just can’t miss.
Next we will visit the old Bazaar of Kashan. Strolling around this hidden gem, the constant clang made by a conflict between the copper and a hammer is like music to our ears. The aroma of exotic spices of the middle east fills our nose and we notice the energetic people of Kashan passing by. To make a great day exceptional, we visit the remainings of Jalali Castle (old castle), a fortress from the Seljuk Empire. It still contains its main thick wall, Yakhchal (old fridge made by mud-brick) and towers.
