Babolsar is a coastal flat land located between the Alborz Mountains and the Caspian Sea. It has intrigued many tourists and travelers all around the world. There is a famous river called Babol Rud that begins from Alborz, flows through neighboring cities of Babol and Babolsar and ends in the Caspian Sea. Its wonderfully green riverside has created many leisure opportunities like boat riding, beach park and soccer field.
Accompany us boating over this graceful river to the pleasing wharf next to the Caspian Sea. On this short boat ride, you can see the city’s symbol which is a magnificent metal bridge with admirable architecture. It’s built by German and Swedish engineers before the Second World War. If you like to feel nature a bit more stimulating, let’s mount and try the zip line to experience flying over the fresh Babol Rud River.
We can even make it a bit more educational; Being in Babol, you will be exposed to the soothing rice farms. The charming scenery around might amaze you and in the right season (August to November) you can learn how they reap rice with hooks and experience it yourself like a true local. Babolsar is one of the most significant centers of seafood in Iran. Various fishes and caviar are produced here to be exported in large amounts to all around the world. The north of Iran is famous for its mouthwatering dishes and nothing could be better than having colorful traditional foods made with organic northern products.
Finally, the pacifying orchards await you to pick fruits right off the trees and roam around the gardens. Another great activity for you would be a visit to the Eucalyptus, Alder and Spine forests. You will enjoy walking in the sabulous canebrakes near the sea, swimming in segregated beaches with lifeguards and step on the same old wooden bridge that Nasir din Shah (1831) once passed.
