Iran Famous for Rhinoplasty

Why are Iran nose jobs famous in the rhinoplasty world?

  • In spite of being considered a conservative society, thousands of Iranians are willing to go under the knife each month to enhance their appearance. Unlike several western countries, Rhinoplasty, or sculptured cheekbones are affordable in Iran. One is more likely to spot a man or a woman with a plastered nose easily while taking a walk in the streets of Iran.
  • Iran has one of the highest numbers of plastic surgeons per capita. Hospitals and specialized clinics in Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz, Isfahan, Tabriz, Kish Island, and other major cities offer quality nose surgeries to national and international patients.

Rhinoplasty: Procedure & Details

Rhinoplasty does not have an ordered series of steps. Each surgery is unique and customized for the specific anatomy and goals of the person having the surgery. The surgeon’s experience and your comfort with him or her are just as important as the final cost of the surgery.

The best Iran nose jobs are typically performed under general anesthesia. During the surgery, you are unconscious and do not feel any pain. After the surgery, a nasal splint is placed to help the nasal structure remain stable during the healing process. Five to seven days after surgery, you need to visit your surgeon to get your nasal splint removed and the bandage replaced. During this period, you have to follow a number of instructions for better healing.

How Persian nose jobs work

    • The upper portion of the structure of the nose is bone, and the lower portion is cartilage. Rhinoplasty can change bone, cartilage, skin or all three.
    • When planning rhinoplasty, your surgeon will consider your other facial features, your skin type, and what you would like to change. If you’re a candidate for surgery, your surgeon will develop a customized plan for you.

Risks of rhinoplasty

  • As with any major surgery, rhinoplasty carries risks such as:
    • Bleeding
    • Infection
    • An adverse reaction to the anesthesia
  • Other possible risks specific to rhinoplasty include but are not limited to:
    • Difficulty breathing through your nose
    • Permanent numbness in and around your nose
    • The possibility of an uneven-looking nose
    • Pain, discoloration or swelling that may persist
    • Scarring
    • A hole in the septum (septal perforation)
    • A need for additional surgery

Food, medication and smoking

  • Avoid medications containing aspirin or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) for two weeks before and after surgery. These medications may increase bleeding. Take only those medications approved or prescribed by your surgeon. Also avoid herbal remedies and over-the-counter supplements.

  • If you smoke, stop smoking. Smoking slows the healing process after surgery and may make you more likely to get an infection.

During the surgery

  • Local anesthesia with sedation.
    • This type of anesthesia is usually used in an outpatient setting. It’s limited to a specific area of your body. Your doctor injects a pain-numbing medication into your nasal tissues and sedates you with medication injected through an intravenous (IV) line. This makes you groggy but not fully asleep.

  • General anesthesia.
    • You receive the drug (anesthetic) by inhaling it or through a small tube (IV line) placed in a vein in your hand, neck or chest. General anesthesia affects your entire body and causes you to be unconscious during surgery. General anesthesia requires a breathing tube.

  • Rhinoplasty in Iran – surgery details:
    • Your procedure may be done from inside the nasal structure or through a small external cut (incision) at the base between your nostrils.
    • Your surgeon will likely readjust the bone and cartilage underneath your skin.
    • Your surgeon can change the shape of your nasal bones or cartilage in several ways, depending on how much needs to be removed or added, your structure, and available materials.

  • Small changes:
    • The surgeon may use cartilage taken from deeper inside your nasal canal or from your ear.

  • Larger changes:
    • The surgeon can use cartilage from your rib, implants or bone from other parts of your body.
  • After these changes are made, the surgeon places the skin and tissue back and stitches the incisions.
  • If the wall between the two sides of the nasal passages (septum) are bent or crooked (deviated), the surgeon can also correct it to improve breathing.

After the surgery

  • You may be congested because of swelling or from the splints placed inside your nasal canal during surgery.
  • In most cases, the internal dressings remain in place for one to seven days after surgery. Your doctor also tapes on a splint for protection and support. It’s usually in place for about one week.
  • Your nose changes throughout your life even without surgery, so it’s difficult to say when you have obtained your “final result.” However, most swelling is gone within a year.To further lower the chances of bleeding and swelling, your physician may ask that you follow precautions for several weeks after surgery:
  • Complications
    • Slight bleeding and drainage of mucus and old blood are common for a few days after the surgery or after removing the dressing. You may need to place a “drip pad” — a small piece of gauze held in place with tape — under (never over) your nose to absorb drainage. Change the gauze as directed by your medical expert.
    • Some temporary swelling or black-and-blue discoloration of your eyelids can occur for two to three weeks after nasal surgery. Limiting your dietary sodium will help the swelling go away faster.
    • Limitations after surgery
      • Don’t not use ice packs or cold bags after your procedure.
      • Avoid strenuous activities such as aerobics and jogging.
      • Take baths instead of showers while you have bandages.
      • Do not blow or wipe your nose.
      • Eat high-fiber foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to avoid constipation Constipation can cause you to strain, putting pressure on the surgery site.
      • Avoid extreme facial expressions, such as smiling or laughing.
      • Brush your teeth gently to limit movement of your upper lip.
      • Wear clothes that fasten in the front. Don’t pull clothing, such as shirts or sweaters, over your head.
      • Don’t wear eyeglasses or sunglasses for at least four weeks after the surgery, to prevent undue pressure. You can use cheek rests, or tape the glasses to your forehead until you have healed.
      • Use SPF 30 sunscreen when outside. Too much sun may cause permanent irregular discoloration in your newly-sensitive skin.

Results

Very slight changes to your structure, measured in millimeters, can make a large difference in how your nose looks. Most of the time, an experienced surgeon can get results both of you are satisfied with. But in some cases, the slight changes aren’t enough, and you and your surgeon might decide to do a second surgery for further changes. If this is the case, you must wait at least a year for the follow-up surgery, to give your results time to finalize.

Rhinoplasty Procedure

Different nasal structures

  • Bony noses
      • Have thinner skin and stronger cartilage, which leads to firmer nasal tips and less likelihood of droopiness
      • In cases with no fat under the skin, small changes to the structure will bring remarkable results.
      • Possibility of asymmetry
Bony Nose
  • Fleshy or meaty noses
    • Have weaker, thinner cartilage tissues and thick skin. Do not reveal the details of their bony structure and cartilage because of the thickness of the skin.
    • Best results are achievable by refining the sides and reshaping the tip.
    • Must have additional support for the nasal tip to prevent deformation of the lower parts of the structure.

Iran nose job for men

  • Men’s nasal structure is different from women’s. They tend to have straighter and wider bridges, thicker skin, and tips that are often more bulbous and broader than women’s. Since the tips of men’s nasal structure are less elevated, they tend to create an angle of 90 to 95 between the nose and the upper lip.
  • While women prefer to get a small and fantasy (upward) nasal structure, most men prefer a natural look characterized by a more prominent nasal structure with a straight angle nose.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT RHINOPLASTY

How is rhinoplasty different from septoplasty?

  1. Rhinoplasty is a surgery to change the shape of the nose. Because both breathing and the nose’s shape are interrelated, a rhinoplasty may sometimes be performed not only to change the way the nose looks but also to improve breathing through the nose.
  2. Septoplasty is a surgery to improve breathing by straightening the wall inside the nose that divides the nasal passages into a right and a left side (nasal septum). When the septum is crooked, it can make it harder to breathe through the nose. A septoplasty is often combined with a rhinoplasty.

Is rhinoplasty a simple operation?

  1. No. Rhinoplasty is a challenging operation. This is due to several factors. First, the nasal structure is a complicated 3D shape that is in the middle of the face. Changes are often very small but can make a major difference in the way the nose looks and functions. Because these changes are small, so is the margin for error.
  2. Swelling and the placement of local anesthetic in the skin distort the nasal structure during surgery, hiding many of the subtle changes made. Rhinoplasty also doesn’t have a standard plan or set order of steps. Doctors tailor each operation to the needs of the patient.

How long is the recovery period?

  1. Our packages include up to 7 days of recovery. You will feel progressively better each day during the first week. One week after surgery, people usually feel like they are themselves again.
  2. After surgery, there will be some swelling. The swelling can take many months to resolve completely, although most people stop noticing it after a couple of months. People are usually back to performing most activities after a week and resuming all activities after two to four weeks.

Are there risks?

All surgeries have risks. Fortunately, Iran’s nose job risks are small and complications are rare. Your doctor will talk to you about the surgery’s risks and benefits in detail before the operation.
