Abbasi Hotel Isfahan The most luxurious hotel among Isfahan hotels and arguably the oldest hotel in the world. The construction of this hotel, which is more than 300 years old, was inspired by the architecture of the Safavid era and is of great importance due to its location in the historical texture of the city. Abbasi Hotel was previously a caravanserai during the Safavid period, which was destroyed following the Afghan invasion of Isfahan. Years later, in 1957, the current building was constructed in its place, and efforts were made to apply the caravanserai construction style in it. Rooms are set around the large courtyard of the hotel and its turquoise pool. They have terraces and windows overlooking the courtyard, and each room with its unique architecture and authentic decorations stretching to the ceiling provides an original space for travelers.
Abbasi Hotel has 224 rooms, suites, and apartments, and several restaurants and halls, each distinguished by their unique features. For example, Chehelsotoun Restaurant and Hall resemble a museum housing the authentic arts of the Safavid and Qajar periods. The Garden Restaurant is in the pleasant courtyard of Abbasi, and one of the restaurants is located on the rooftop of the hotel, offering a wide view of the old texture of Isfahan. Wherever you look in the hotel, you see something fascinating; in the hallway overlooking the street, and between the windows that open to the street, you find beautiful examples of plasterwork panels in the Tash'er and illumination style and convex mirrorwork known as Sheikh Baha'i. Between every two pieces of plasterwork and illumination, a convex mirrorwork panel of pomegranate flower or cypress and blossom adds to the beauty of the collection.
