Kaluts and Shahzadeh Garden Tour

Our journey starts in the morning in Kerman City and we move to a town in the southeast of Kerman Province. Not many people are aware of the beauty of Mahan Town and its wonderful nature and pleasant climate. Shahzadeh Garden or Shazdeh Garden, one of the greatest and most elegant Persian gardens, is located 2 km from this town.

Shahzadeh Garden(Kerman tours) was built by the order of a commander, Mohammad Hasan Khan in the Qajar era. As the garden is placed on the silk road, it has been outstanding for a long time.

Shahzadeh Garden is nowadays registered on UNESCO Heritage Sites. It’s like a paradise in a desert. Towering trees and flowing streams in the heart of this desert area are like miracles. The reason is snow melting of nearby mounts and qanats (traditional Persian way to extract water from the ground).

Afterward, we move to Sirch Village. Visit one of the oldest trees (cypress) in the world. Leaving this place, let’s visit qanats on the way and know how they work since old times.

Let’s head to the largest arid area and desert of Iran, Lut Desert. After some time drive, the flora is less seen and you face a pure area full of sand dunes. The scenery is jaw-dropping as you may assume its a fantasy. Relax in this peaceful land and enjoy the art of nature. You can take awesome snapshots and fulfill your travel dreams.

For some years, this region has got the hottest temperature of the earth and this makes Kaluts in Shahdad noticeable. Kaluts are the sandy mounts formed by the act of wind, soil and rain and erosion for many years. You may think someone took time and shaped them but they are all naturally made. Another charm in this desert is Nebkas. Nebka is a phenomenon similar to kaluts, but the plant is involved too. The wind moves sand in the air, as the plant is wet, especially after rain, it absorbs sand around. After year of erosions, a vase-shaped is formed and on top, the plant appears. Due to different allures, part of Lut Desert is registered on UNESCO Sites.

Also watch the egg-shaped hills and the salty river which flows to Shahdad Town. This river is so salty as it has gone a long distance to reach kaluts.

Let’s visit the ancient caravansaries in the desert which get you familiar with the culture and history of the area. We move back to Kerman afterward and reach there before noon.

Excellent service and support Excellent Service ! i am surprised by the reactivity and the will to help and find quickly hotels, flights and solutions for me, even though the holiday season makes things challenging. Chatting through whatsapp made things super smooth and extremely easy. I was interacting with two people from TAP Persia, Rojin and Sohrab. They were just amazing ! They are the ones who reached out to me directly and interacted instantly with me day and night. Great job guys !I used earlier a different company but i was disappointed, i strongly recommend TAP Persia .Keep up the great work !

Fabulous agency - can't recommend more highly for travellers to Iran I decided to go to Iran at short notice and was only able to do so thanks to the exceptional service provided by TAP Persia. What further complicated was my ignorance of being in the middle of Nowruz and the impact that has on flight availabilities etc.In the first instance, that revolved around speedy obtainment of a visa as well as other aspects such as insurance and mah card via their great-value welcome pack.Thereafter, all of my accommodation, tour guides and transport between destinations was arranged by the beyond-wonderful Mahgol with tremendous efficiency, patience and responsiveness - I could not praise nor thank her enough.Communications are as good as can be.With my lack of Farsi and, more specifically, incomprehension of the alphabet, doing things in this manner was the only way to go.All of the guides - Fatemah, Amin, Fardin, Moji, Peyman and Masoud - were fantastic being passionate, knowledgeable, smarter-than-average bears and very nice people.Rasool, Mehrnoush and Sohrab in the office were also very helpful.I would say though that, to help them (especially) to try to draft your itinerary as much as possible before approaching them as this will save time i.e. places, days in each, hotel price-range then trust them to select the latter for you.

Great Service 🙂 TApersia accompanied us well on the way to our Iran visa. My wife's visa took 2 weeks longer than mine (German EU & I'm Swiss). Our questions were always answered quickly by the nice Mahgol via WhatsApp. We think she did her best for our visa processing. After a while, we were also asked how we were doing! Nice, support and promptness are at the highest level.

Solo Saudi female in <3 IRAN <3 10/10. It's hard for me to be succinct, but I will try. I am a Saudi who has been impressed, curious, and infatuated by Iranian culture(s), Iron Age history, Islamic & other religious histories, architecture, and geography for over 15 years. Yum, and food. I wanted initially to continue my Persian language study at Dehkhoda Institute, however student visas take much longer than other visas to process, and I would likely miss my class during the processing time. I was disheartened and scrambled through my Google bookmarks looking for old travel that I had saved over the years in my Iran folder. 😉 TAP Persia was bookmarked numerous times and I quickly applied for a tourist visa. Hey, I can still practice some Persian as a tourist, right? THE PROCESS WAS SO EASY. So smooth! Mahgol deserves all the praise and recognition for bringing relief to my anxious-self (because I had already long-ago booked my airline tickets and took time off work!), and she walked me through all the steps in a timely manner and with competence and grace. Even during the first week of Norouz and Ramadan, I got a friendly update and advice -- got my tourist visa within 5 or 6 days (the Ministry was closed for Ramarouz, but WOW that was still quick). I cried from happiness and surprise... Thank you thank you. I will be in Iran April to mid-May. Originally I just registered for TAP Persia welcome package + visa help, but now I'm pretty curious about signing up for one or 2 of their tours now. I am beyond impressed and excited. This travel company, Mahgol, & this team already made me feel safe and like I'm going home, and I imagine with their business practice, will prosper for many years down the road. Thank you so much. Someone please remind me to update this post with photos once I arrive to Iran <3

A wonderful oasis in the middle of a desert

A garden in the desert surprised us the most. Ali took us early in the morning and drove all the way to the desert, stopping at a big building and it was heaven to our eyes. The garden has a water system that uses no pump to channel the water from the top to down. A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE!

Wonderful hassle free dessert experience

We spent a fabulous half day with Ali and his team. He was friendly, knowledgeable, obliging ( changes times to suit us) . We had a little girl with us and Ali, the guide, built a great relationship with her. She was smiling all the way in the car. Ali gave us thrills in the dunes as well as great photo opportunities at pretty spots. Arranging the tour was easy, the agency was reachable and tailor the tour to our own desires. What a great experience, Thank you!

one of a kind experience!

Wow, it was an amazing experience and you must try it. Ali was really nice and chatty, we had a great day with him. We were delighted to be guided. Starting in the morning by the garden visit in the desert followed with a stop in the city of mud brick houses. Even though it was scary at first, we ended up having fun and taking cool photos on top of the castle. I would like to recommend everybody to try the best experience.

Best tour guide ever

We didn't know what to expect. just knew that we wanted a tour guide to explore the desert area of lut desert and Kerman. We had 2 tour guides and they were fantastic. They took care of everything that we needed. They were not only professional tour guides who knew all the information about the Kaluts that we went to see and great cooks. We all had a great time and we would highly recommend this tour.

Spiritual place!

A very nice and stylish place you probably could visit in each season, the palace in the desert was surprisingly beautiful and the drive to the desert was a delight. Ali, the guide, drove carefully and was able to speak perfect English. Do not miss it when you get a chance to visit Kerman province.
